I’m Karlee Taylor and I’m a chef and recipe developer based in Los Angeles.
While I’m currently basking in the Southern California sun I grew up in the home of the chicken cutlet, aka New Jersey. I earned my B.S. in Dietetics from Rutgers University before pursuing culinary school at the Natural Gourmet Institute in Manhattan. I went on to cook in restaurant kitchens, prep kitchens, and private homes, and eventually landed in a professional test kitchen developing and shooting recipes for the masses.
Although I loved my work, I wanted to find a bridge between my culinary career and my nutrition education. Inspired by my mom, a beloved midwife, I developed an interest in maternal health. This led me to Oh Baby Academy, where I became certified in prenatal, postpartum, and infant holistic nutrition.
My dedication to nutrition through food stems from my belief in prevention, rather than reaction. The fuel we put into our tanks matters, especially when creating new life. A mama’s nutrition carries through many generations.
Today, I balance recipe development, culinary consulting, and content creation alongside running Postpartum Provisions, a boutique postpartum meal personal chef service.
